Yes! Double Stamping!
I’m by no means a professional when it comes to drawing but I do understand the importance of giving life to your pictures. And the easiest way to do that is by adding a shadow somewhere to show where the light is coming from. It gives it a je ne sais quoi, that makes the picture look 3D, real.
It hadn’t occurred to me, I could also do this with stamping. The whole idea of stamping one color over another seems absurd until you give it a shot. In this case, it adds depth to the flowers showing that there is light shining on them from one side and there is shadow on another. The effect is just wow for me! I’m definitely going to try to do this a hell of a lot more often.
I chose a bigger design just so that the shadow could be easily seen on a more intricate design and the effect is just as if I had taken the time to outline the white stamp with black acrylic paint.
Sometimes, holo doesn’t fix it
Sometimes, too much glitter hides the design, so it’s best to skip it.

iPhone Macro Lens
You don’t need a super camera to take pictures of your nails, all you need is a good macro lens and you’ll be able to take close ups like you owned a DSLR.
Also, here are a couple of nail fails to show you not all is perfect!
Black Holo Witch (H)
I don’t think I can love this polish any more than I already do, it looks so stunning under bright lights and the tiny flitters give out the holo glitter we so much enjoy.
This nail polish is peak holosexuality!!
Just remember to add a quick dry top coat and then a regular top coat over that to smooth out the surface of the nails.
3 holos are better than one
These are 3 holo swatches on my left hand. They are Starrily’s “Aix-En-Provence“, F.u.n. Laquer’s #SimplyNailogical collection “Holo Queen (H)” and Revlon’s Transforming Effects, “Holographic Pearls“.
Right now I believe the only one sold out is the “Holo Queen (H )” and it’s part of the new Simply Nailogical collection that came out a couple of weeks ago. They both look absolutely gorgeous!!!
